Important Information Regarding COVID-19

In recognition of ongoing news reports and the continued spread of the COVID-19 virus, we realize our patients have questions. As dedicated health care professionals, we want you to know that we remain as diligent as ever in protecting the health and safety of our patients and staff. Burlington Dental Arts strictly adheres to and exceeds the standards for infection control by wearing personal protective gear, using hospital-grade disinfectants, practicing the latest sterilization protocols, utilizing single-use disposable materials, and more. Every effort we have in place is to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. We want you to know that we are monitoring this situation very closely, and we update our protocols as recommended.

While we are doing everything in our power to protect you, we also ask for your cooperation in making our office environment a safe one when you visit us.

  • If you are sick, we ask you to postpone your non-emergent appointment until your symptoms subside.  Over the phone, we are asking universally accepted screening questions to increase safety for all.
  • We are also requesting those who can arrive alone for their appointment to do so. We are only allowing the patient into the office unless a guardian is required for a minor patient or a care-taker for a loved one.
  • At this time, we are asking you to call our office at (262)763-8360 when you arrive and wait in your car until we come to greet you.
  • We require everyone to wear a face-covering into our clinic, and we will have you use hand sanitizer upon entering the building and we will use a touch-less thermometer to check your temperature. We expect these steps to continue for the foreseeable future.

As a staff, we are all starting each day by taking our own temperatures.  We are requiring all staff to report if they are feeling ill, have a fever or cough, and remain home for the recommended period of time.

Our level of PPE (personal protective equipment) has been enhanced in accordance with the most recent recommendations. Our patient coordinators may be wearing face masks and practicing social distancing when they greet you. Rest assured, it is the same warm, caring person it has always been behind the mask.

Additionally, our clinical staff: assistants, hygienists, and dentists will all be wearing the most effective, CDC approved, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) available. Face shields are now recommended, so our clinical staff will be wearing shields, as well as the recommended masking.

Although we may “look a little different”, we are still the same caring, skilled people you have come to know and trust.

We will continue to offer a pre-procedure mouth rinse. Immediately before any procedure, we will give you a 1.5% hydrogen peroxide rinse to swish for 60 seconds. The goal is to reduce any microorganisms present in your saliva.

We thank you in advance and extend our gratitude for your understanding and cooperation. Together, we can help keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office, and one of our staff members will be more than happy to assist you.
